Welcome to Miss Apple Valley.org
mav0809.jpg_sm.jpg
Hello everyone. My name is Amanda Cole. I am 20 years old, and I have the privilege of being your new 2008-2009 Miss Apple Valley.  It is an honor to be able to represent our beautiful town for the upcoming year. I was born at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on April 19, 1988 and have lived in Apple Valley for 16 years. I have attended school in Apple Valley for my entire education, starting with Yucca Loma Elementary School, from there Apple Valley Christian and graduating from Granite Hills High School in 2006. During my senior year at Granite Hills, I also attended Victor Valley Community College. I have recently graduated from Victor Valley Community College with a double Associates Degree, one in Fine Arts and the second in Liberal Arts. Throughout my college career, I have been actively involved with the Theatre Arts Department, working on set design, stage construction, make-up and performance. I love being a part of the theatre community. I am currently attending Cal Sate San Bernardino, where I will obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in pre-law. From there, I hope to attend Stanford University to pursue my law degree, specializing in Criminal Prosecution.
Now, here is a little information about my family. My parents are David and Marianna Cole. My father works in the entertainment industry as a grip, and my mother is a nurse. I come from a very loving and supportive family. We laugh together, cry together and are there for each other, no matter what the situation may be, good or bad. They say family is your backbone and mine truly is. I have approximately 16 aunts and uncles, and 27 first cousins. The majority of them live in San Bernardino County, with some living here locally in our own town of Apple Valley.  Family is very important in my life because with family you gain roots, principals and morals.  These qualities, and others, that have been taught to me during my 20 years of life, truly have made me the woman I am today.  I believe in the quote from Walt Disney that says, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”  With this being said, I say to anyone reading this, dare to dream. I did, and the dream became a reality when I was crowned Miss Apple Valley 2008-2009.

During my reign, I will attend Chamber of Commerce meetings, ambassador meetings, mixers and various community events in support of our town, as well as special appearances. I would also like to truly make a difference in our community  by working with the schools,  the library, senior citizen centers and even our local St. Mary’s Hospital in any area that I may be a useful and positive influence.   Apple Valley is a wonderful town to live in, and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, literally, to make our town, now and in the future, a place for all to be proud of.  What a wonderful year this is going to be, and how excited I am to represent Apple Valley.  It is an honor to have by my side Teen Miss Apple Valley, Catherine Eileen Looper and Young Miss Apple Valley Kayln Nicole Braun.  The three of us are determined to work together and show that Apple Valley is a strong community. Wherever you look, there are obvious signs of rapid growth and development. However, no matter how big we get we will always try to help maintain that small town feeling in a real big way. May God bless you and this upcoming year.

Xoxo,

Amanda Louise Cole
